I just got an 06' Mega cab 3.73 rear all stock . Was getting about 19.5 straight HWY. 14-15 around town. I installed the Bullydog and now get 25.3 Straight HWY at 60mph . 23.5 @70mph . 1800rpm at 70mph.

Sweeeet!! Just sweet and so fast. That is BTW set on Tow the lowest setting. I didn't check for performance or extreme yet.
GTX beat me to the question... hand calculated? the overhead comp does not know about the extra fuel the box is dumping so it'll be off. mine is regularly 3.5 mpg high when using the mpg setting on the TST. goes up pretty quick when bumping up the box.

I've hand calced 16.9mpg (hand calc.) with tire adjustment (Added 5% to miles traveled? Souded good)
AUTO 4X4 2006 CTD w/ 3.73
315/70/17 BFG w/ leveling kit
Air Raid intake, MBRP 4" Cat/back, Bullydog w/ outlook

Help me out with the fuel additives, I'm a rookie oiler and don't know crap except I can pull my boat and not tell it's there. Do I need to add something besided diesel when filling up? Oil change is approaching (23K miles) time for synthetic? I'll search other threads to see what I can learn.

hey steve, this will realy make you mad

TST 2/3 (55hp/180tq) I filled up last night and hand calculated I got 18.49mpg

Ive turned the TST to 2/4 to see what happens.

oh, alot of the places around here are now showing they are pumping ULSD.

Lookin' for some pointers.

First, I'm new to the Forum so I appologize up front if I offend anyone with ignorance.
Second, I'm looking to "upgrade" from my Ram 1500 Hemi Quad to a Cummins Mega. I
ve been reading the posts on gas milage as thats the deal breaker for me. If I can't get 5-6 miles
more per gallon, I won't make the switch. My computer tells me I'm averaging 14.9 with the Hemi (both
city/hwy) right now. What are all these different additives I keep seeing here in the forum (Grey/white bottles, MMO)?
Third, there's a local dealer who has an 06 Mega, cummins, SLT with less than 6k miles and is looking for just over
$39k. It fits the bill on what I want to "upgrade" to, but is this a good deal? How many others would jump on this?

THanks for any help I can get.

Are you hand calculating the mileage or relying on the computer? They're famous for being off!
White and grey bottles are referring to Power Service Diesel additives https://dodgeforum.com/m_578939/tm.htm explains it quite well.
