S&B Intake, comments? Good Product?
Looking at intakes for my Cummins....a site has all their intakes on sale right now, can get the S&B intake for $175 or the K&N intake for around $200. Any comments....the filters look the same and all the parts look basically the same. I also really like the clear air box top that the S&N intake has...
Just looking for anyone who has experience with the S&B intakes....

I was watching the SEMA show tests on air cleaners on this site a while back and that is what convinced me to go with the true-flow air intake system. It captures more of the particulates (dust and dirt) and you can blow the thing out with compressed air between washings and reoilings. Also you get better airflow because it is more honeycombed like a sponge so you have more ways for the air to travel when you get covered with surface dirt. If you have an '03 or newer ram CTD you will pay $172.00 with free shipping at www.autoanything.com I got mine there and I love it. Take a look see what you think. I threw just the filter in my wifes '01 durango and could immediately feel the power gian and her milage went up approx 1.4mpg within the first 50 miles.

S&B makes very high quality filters and intake kits. I have them on my 2003 diesel, 2006 hemi, and 2000 Jeep XJ.. They have one of the best testing/R&D setups I have seen. Their filters out-flow and out-filter k&n products, and they make several of the filters for other "manufacturers" (Ford Motorsport, Fram, etc.).
