Default Will a style of grill effect performance?

I just ordered a Putco grille. Just got to thinking though - with this grille having a little more coverage than the factory grille, will it have any effect on performance?

I think that the 1st time you put a heavy load on it, it's going to be starving for cold air to keep it cool... dont do it (IMO)

a buddy of mine did this about a year ago. he is a rancher and is always hauling heavy, heavy loads (cattle, hay, huge tractors, etc.) and when he put it on, he noticed that his truck would get hot when under a heavy load. not so much just driving around town (when his wife was in it). needless to say, he took it off.
