Default 99 5 speed Cummins- hard to get into gear?

It seems that the clutch isn't releasing all the way. Even at idle, sitting still, it's hard to get into any gear. Reverse seems to be the worst. Any suggestions?. I have pulled the floor mat thinking it sould be hindering it but that was no help. These things are slave cylinder released, correct? Any adjustment?
Thanks in advance.

sounds like you have some air trapped in the system need to bleed it.

can you bleed those things? our 97 did the same thing last fall and sometimes wouldn't release at all, kinda scary. and then all the sudden, it was fine, now this summer it seems to be acting up again?

you can bleed it just like brakes, make sure you have plenty of fluid on hand to fill the resivoir. bleed it at the slave cylinder.

and once you have it fixed, swap out the fluid for some redline fluid, it'll help shifting alot.

my '97 dak had problems going into 2nd sometimes if the syncros werent at the same speeds, put in the redline fluids in the tranny & in the rear end and shifting was pretty damn close to new. plus the rear didnt whine as much...
