Default Wanting a CTD

Decided that a CTD is the truck to get. Just looking for some input on different years. First off wanted an 01 or 02 but like the quad cab and new body a little better. As for the 03 and up trucks, I know that factory numbers are somewhat different, but performance wise do you feel much difference from an 03 to an 04.5??

Would keep truck mostly stock, with a different intake and exhaust. Would these mods alone be enough to boost the early HPCR trucks to over 325HP??

the only way to boost the 03 305 engines to 325 or better is with a programmer or plug in box.

to tell you the truith, the best years for the Cummins was from 94-98.0 then 03 and up. the 98.5-02 had the dredded VP44 pump. now dont get me wrong here, the pump is good and can make good power, the only problem with it is you need to make sure you have a healthy supply of fuel or the pump will burn up.
