Banks PowerPack TLC System 5.9L Diesel
I have installed the entire system except for the wire to the fuel injection pump. The directions are completly worthless since they don't match my 2001 Ram AT ALL! Does anyone know which wire to tap into? The directions say there are four black wires and even that is completly wrong. Any help would be appreciated.
Did you get the correct system for your truck? The 2001 system is different from the 98-00 system, and is also different than the 2002 system.

Hi, thanks for the response, the part number of the system I purchased was 49333, the "installation instructions" are for use with systems 49305-49335 and 49345-49356. The instructions (not the kit) say they are for "1998-2002 Dodge 5.9L Cumming (24 Valve) ISB Pickup Trucks". Their closeups and diagrams are completly wrong, they say there are four black wires, there are actually seven wires, only one of which is black. I dowloaded a fuel pump wiring schematic for my engine but still can't tell which wire to hook into. The schematic and the wires on the truck don't match exactly either. I know they (Banks) are controlling the amount of fuel but I still can't tell which wire to hook into.
Alright...who moved the thread while I was typing a reply? [>:]
If you go back to the 2nd gen forum you will find a thread at the top entitled SEC. GEN RAM INFORMATION. In that thread you will find a link to a download for the service manual for the 2001 Dodge Ram. It might contain the correct diagram for your truck.
If that doesn't help, you may want to head over to www.dieseltruckresource.com There are a LOT more 2nd gen CTD owners over there than there are here, and some of them have probably run into the same problem you're having. Good Luck!
