easiest way to tell what gearing you have. . .what RPM's are you turning at 60mph.

I have 4.10's and a 6spd(NV5600) at 62mph I'm turning 2000 rpm. . .I need an overdrive gear set[:@]

I am just looking for a good running speed. . .I just realized you have larger wheels as well so theres realy not a good way to tell. but I'm gunna go on a limb and say you probably have 3.73's basicaly if your below 2K at 70 then 3.73's, above 2K 4.10's.

on my stock 265's 70 equals 2300rpm[:@]

ORIGINAL: tobinj

However the only issue I am having is a slight loss of low end torque, the parts make it haul on the top end but down low it is definateley noticeably less, I think steve00ram360 was experiencing some of the same issues due to intake stuff so that is what I am chalking it up to, I'm sure its due to alot of air goin in form the intakes and the open exhaust for breathing.
Yeah the AFE kit definatly makes a different animal out of the motors response... it's awesome. If I could get the stock airbox milage with the afe intake (meaning = keeping more low end torque), i'd be a happy camper.

you mentioned something about the banks hi-ram intake... i've read that some experience a low end loss with it and was just curious as to what you saw. I have an ATS ArcFlo intake sitting at my neighbors house waiting to be picked up. Heading out on a 2200 mile vacation and am debating whether or not to put it on tonight. their dyno sheet says that at approx 1775 rpms, they're gaining 51 ft lbs tq and 19 hp... that is almost exactly where my motor is running at 70 (33's for shoes btw). I called them to ask how they ran the test on their part and it was on a bone stock truck... probably the best way to do it for marketing. I was told that the gains are even bigger with a modded intake/exhaust setup....

btw, I put the stock airbox back on for milage purposes on this trip

anyway... what's your impression on the Banks?

1775 at 70mph. . .I wish I could do that[:@]

it realy doesnt make much of a difference between 3.73's and 4.10's other than you have 2000 more pounds towing capacity, and you run higher RPM's which equals more pulling power.
