Default Tanny issue (thanks DC)

Well, I went into the backcountry this weekend hiking and found a nice little issue with my tranny that i didnt think about until just the right situation came up...

When in tow/haul mode, the tranny will still up-shift into OD when it thinks it needs to... well, in 4 low, it will still do it sending me down the hill much faster than i'd like. 2nd gear is too slow, OD is too fast... 3rd gear would be perfect.

has anyone come up with a way to overide this nice DC feature?

that's what I heard... you have 3 settings if I understand it right... tow/haul, OD off and normal. does that sound right?

I wonder if they have an upgrade to the '05 tranny s/w... it would be nice, otherwise, i'll have to figure a way around this issue as i'm in this boat often enough...

I believe it is the same tranny... I should check to see if it's the same controller too. if it is, then maybe I can just order a new controller.

I'll bet there are aftermarket controllers out there that would fix it and then add some performance features. I'll have to go have a look...
