um what is a silencer ring and why are people removing it...

its a stamped piece of metal on the intake of you turbo, pull of you're inlet hose and the top of the air box. (so you can see in the turbo better) It s the piece of metal in front of the turbo wheel, looks like it directs the air toward the center of the housing. take 2 smaller flat screwdriver and work the snap ring out that holds the silencer ring in, save the snap ring and the stamped piece of metal just in case you don't like the sound of you turbo (you gotta love it)Also there is an intake baffle between the two 90 degree turns on the intake hose. take the inside cross piece out, you'll need to save the outter part for the two 90s to hook to. i justed dremeled on end off and the insides kinda fell out. this helps the turbo scream even more. hope this helps
