RE: Rotella T Synthetic and Low sulphur fuel
first of all. . .thats rotella T, it stinks, but it is some good stuff. at my last job the boss man swore by this stuff and at time I thought I saw him sneaking a swig that he said kept him regular[:'(]
after a few thousand miles the smell will go away.
lastly the fuel question. . .oil companies are afraid the LSD(150PPM) Fuel we use now will damage the newer vehicles that are comeing out that are designed to run on ULSD(<15PPM) however it should be the other way around. I know for fact since 03, the common rail cummins engine has been certified to tun ULSD, my main worry would be the VP44's since that pump uses the fuel to lubricate itself. when ever you pull sulfur out of the fuel, you also take out lubrication. refineries do put some lubrication back in, but sometimes not enough.
realy it is just more gov't over regulation[:@]
