the timeing is sync'd by the crank and cam sensors through the computer. when the injector pump was manual that was when timeing became important, with the addition of computerized sensors it took this away, unless you know how to manipulate the signal.
basicaly, the way you build morepower is by adding fuel, the more fuel you have the hotter the fire and the more power you have untill you melt something. this is where adding a larger turbo helps. anyway the more fuel you can dump into the cylinders the more smoke you will have since the engine canot possably burn all the fuel you can put to it above a certian point.
it could be your in-tank pusher pump is not supplying enough fuel to the CP3.

13. You're always watching the mirror after the turbo spools up so you can see how perfectly your smoke cloud formed.
