Default Winch wiring on CTD

Okay folks, I wanna make sure I don't jack this up.

I'm need to wire up my winch, and being new to this diesel, I'm not sure which battery to hook up the cables to. I'm assuming one is a starting battery and one is an accessory battery. BTW it's a Warn 9.5ti on a multimount setup, so it's getting power front and rear.

I just need to order my front receiver hitch. IT looks like it's gonna be real tight with all the coolers in the front of this puppy. Anybody have a front hitch already so I can see what it looks like on the truck?

Thanks!

Rich

both batteries are hooked up in parallel so you have more cranking amps and more juice to run the grid heater. both batteries are working all the time.

hook it up to which every you want

Would it make a difference if I hooked positive to one and the negative to the other.

I forgot the whole parallel / series thing. Would this give me twice the amperage or twice the volts. Volts would be BAD!

do that and you'll be buying a new truck as well.

just hook to one battery, if you follow the power cables comeing off the passenger battery you will see an nice heavy gage wire comeing off it and going to the drivers side battery. even though you have it hooked to one battery it will still pull from the other.

parallel increases amperage, series increases voltage
