it can be done. . .I know a guy that took a 1500 RC-SB V6, pulled the 3.7L tranny and axel. then slamed in a nicely built 12 valve Cummins with a fully billet 48RE and a Dana 80 rear axel. that bad boy hauls some major bootay.
the downside, it's gunna cost ya. the engine itself is going to run around 5-7K depending on what you want, and that is just the start.
once your done you would be better off tradeing in your MC for a diesel.

Man I just traded off my 05 Hemi, with employee pricing and 0% financing being offered I was able to eat up the negative equity and still get a sweet deal. Just something to consider, now is the time if you want to do it. I loved my Hemi, but there is no comparison. The 17.5 MPG I am getting from the cummins is much easier on my wallet than the 10.5MPG my Hemi got.

Anything's possible if you have the $, Just remeber that when you buy the diesel option on a truck, you get the extra suspension needs to carry the weight properly, heavy duty cooling, alternator, dual batteries, etc. There's a reason they don't offer the deisels in 1/2 ton trucks.
I'd opt to trade-in rather than trying to retrofit.
