Default break-in period - demo model risk?

I'm looking at a great deal on a dealer demo 3500 SRW automatic. It went 900 miles with a salesguy driving it to work and back, then about 2,000 with a lady who pulled a gooseneck horse trailer, then another guy with a goosenck to take the total miles to 4,000. Should I buy this demo? I'm a bit worried that the break-in has not been done correctly and that it could cost me down the road. What do you think?

the break in goes like this. .. for the first 500 be easy since the bearings in the axels and tranny are being worn in and the meshing of the pinion and ring gears are also being worn in. after that drive it like you stole it, and towing something is better.

since the sales man drove it unloaded for 900 I would say the break in was done good. then with two other pulling a gooseneck it had some tow time to help break things in. . .would I get it, I dont see a reason not too.

these engines have a record of going well over a million miles. and I know guys that stop at the dealership with a full load on a gooseneck and 600K on a 3 year old truck only to buy a brand new one, hook the gooseneck up and haul bootay and not have a single issue. the reason for trade in, they were tired of being in a 3 yr old truck and wanted something new. even better there have been cases where the trade in was sold before the guy could drop the gooseneck off the old truck
