CEL Blink
I have a problem that has stumped two dealerships. Once I turn my keys to the on position, most of the check gauges lights come on for a brief moment and then turn off. All except for the check engine light. It remains on and after a brief period (roughly 10-15 seconds) it starts to blink. Once I start my truck, the CEL goes off and all is well. The generic manual that comes with the truck says that it may have something to do with emission control. Diagnostic checking hasn't provided any help.
Any thoughts to a solution?

if you cycle the key from off to run three times what codes come up from the ECM. also try this, holding the trip button, turn the key to run and force a dash diagnostics. the gages will go berzerk for a few seconds and if anything is wrong in the PCM it will tell you then.
if you get any codes, post them and we'll see what can be dug up.

Here are the diagnostic results:
From the ECM (cycled key off/run), I received the code "P0513".
From the PCM (trip button/run), I received three codes:
1. S 121 (or 5 121)
2. i 282 (I'm not sure if it's i as just the bottom part of "1" showed up)
3. C 447
I should have introduced myself earlier. I am very new to this forum, the Dodge family, and to owning a diesel, so any help is really appreciated. I'm so proud of this truck and I want it to be perfect. I have soooooo much to learn. [sm=confused06.gif]
Thanks again!!

I have a site pinned to the top that has a very good list of trouble codes, but here they are
P0513 has something to do with the Air intake temp sensor, not sure what but I looked all over.
the other three I couldnt find anything on them. your best thing would be to verify the codes, then take the truck to the dealership and tell them what you found. sometimes they can be a pain about not looking deep enough, but they should have acess to the master list of codes and tell you exactly what they mean.
my thinking, you will probably get a new PCM.
