EDGE JUICE W/ ATTITUDE
I just called Edge- They do not know why it does not display tranny temop on an automatic. It only displays the tranny slip. You cannot adjust this as I read on 2 websites that you can. All the chip does is display what Dodge set up but did not put gages in for and it does tweak it to get better horse, etc. I'm sure you knew most of that. Sensor part is all new to me! Dodge put a sensor on the standard tranny but no gauge so that is why mine has it. But Edge said that is a good question and he agrees there should be. You may have the sensor on it- just don't know how to install on a auto? Maybe you can rig it up a little. Who knows. Have you gone to your display setting? If not go to display settings and "click" display 4- it will have you move one item you wish not to display- then it will tell you what new mod you want to display- click on tranny temp and see if you have the setting for it. I didn't know about a lot of it until 2 weeks ago when I called Edge and they verified I had a MPH setting etc. I was stoked. Sorry- but if theres a way to do it without hurting your tranny- do it!! He said the sensor should be somewhere on it. PS let me know if I explained it wrong!! I am terriable at writing short storie. LOL. By the way thanks for the birthday greeting!!!
I went thru the attitude menu's and did not find anything relating to tranny temp. I currently have 4 displays up there. there is already a tranny temp sensor as the pcm monitors it and will light the dummy light if it's too hot. it's always nice to know exactly what is going on as opposed to relying on the dumy lights...
Dummi lights suck. They work when they don't need to and don't work when they should!! Thats my old Ford for ya. But thats good to know that there is something there. Edge didn't tell me that. My luck I would have gotten that trans to dang hot a few times if I drove an auto. Good Luck!
if I had an auto I would be concerned about the temp like you are steve, but with this 6 spd, I can shut the engine down and the case is warm to the touch. my clutch hasnt sliped yet, but I think that is about to change soon
if anything a trans temp gage mounted somewhere would be better than nothing, and I do agree, you should have a readout on the outlook monitor.

1 nice thing about the auto is you can slap a bigger pan on it (like I did, +4 quarts) to increase capacity. takes longer to heat it up... it also came with the sensor port for a temp guage.
not to make this into an auto manual fight, we can install some oil coolers in place of the PTO covers, and I can also rig up a oil cooler for the manual if needs be
but I will say this, the auto is good for the strip, the manual is good for pullin heavy

At least you can get a cooler on there... I would never participate in an auto/manual fight, that's a waste of energy... I prefer the manual myself but my situation kinda dictated the need for the auto.
I have been reading and doing research on all the chips and programmers and I think I have decided on the EDGE Juice w/ A2. The only thing I cant find a clear answer on is, If I remove the EDGE box and monitor, will the dealer be able to know that it was installed (ECM Memory or such).
UPDATE: I contacted EDGE with my questions and thought I would share the info for anyone else interested:
When you use the juice module it actually doesn't change the ECM. Is what happens is the computer sends the information to the engine then we pick up that information and change it. Once you remove the product from the truck it is back to stock so nothing is left in the ECM. Also, the TomTom GPS system is a one time fee. Once you purchase the A2 you purchase TomTom for life. No charges after that.
