If it has 350HP, with a chip and exhaust there are going to be some serious deisal trucks there pushing 450HP easily with 700flb of TQ

I just bought the 5.9 liter, because I wanted an engine that has been tried, tested and proven true. It has been perfected to its current state, and I hesitate to buy an new form. Just my opinion. I made that mistake already with the purchase of the new 2003 Ford 6.0 liter diesel. I think I'll keep my 5.9 liter Cummins, and watch to see what will need re-engineered on this new Cummins over the years.

I realy dont think there will be as many problems with this engine as opposed to the Ford and Chevy. the 6.7L is a direct carry over from the AG market that Cummins has been in for a long time. even though it carries over alot of parts from the 5.9L and it is a different engine, I'm pretty certian this will not turn into the 6.oh-noes

i dont think just bumping up the displacement will hurt anything at all.. since its a carry over from the 5.9.... all that really is being modded is bigger injectors, bigger displacement, and a slightly modified head... maybe the cam and bore and stroke may take the upgrade as well, if cummins knows what their doing... then that engine should be a true beast... they havent screwed up before.. no reason to start now

saying they havent screwed up before is a tall order, they have had their share of oddities with certian engine lines, when the big cam 400 came out that bad boy would slobber oil like a hound dog munchin down a steak. the head gasket was fine, head torqued down properly, everything good and tight, but there was so much torque on everything you could easily have a gallon of oil drip off the thing overnight from a good days run.

You should try the new ISX signature 600. 600 horse, 2200 ftlbs, Holy ****.
Is it like OTR trucks in that every truck built after jan 1, 2007 gets these new engines?
