there are no vanes to stick in this turbo, it has a slideing nozzle instead to reduce the number of moveing parts to one.

this video from Cummins site should explain it better. even though the turbo used if on the ISX, the same design will be used on the 6.7.

I like the way they painted just about everything red. It really sets the whole thing off. If I ever had to pull my motor out, that's how I'd paint it.

No rush for that job though ....

every engine we inframe, we put a good coat of paint on (3 rattle cans). So I've learned some tricks on painting them in chassis.

for starters, steam the engine off real good. a thin layer of grease on tags you don't want paint on. After painting, wipe the grease off. If you get a little paint on hoses and things you don't want paint, before the paint drys completely or cures, wipe it off with a clean rag soaked in brake clean. Also cover parts with plastic and tape, such as frame rails ect. paint the engine in a well ventilated area, such as out doors so overspray won't stick to the body paint.

I am hearing the 07s wont have a cummins at all. Infact the rumor I hear most is Ford will drop the powerstroke and pick up the cummins, dodge will now use a detroit in place of the cummins chevy will stay with the duramax. Again that is just rumor I have heard at some pretty big horse shows.

The 07s already have the 5.9, 6.7 to come in January.
These rumors aren't cummin from blown-up powerstroke owners, are they?
