Once it's off the lot, dirt is stock!!
Well I guess I'm a day late/ dollar short on that deal then. The warranty is 3yrs/36K then on an 06? When they were talking warranty I thought they meant extend the bumper to bumper to 100K like the engine.

yeah I thought that as well. Until I asked them what the warranty covered and then I asked if there was an extended factory warranty. They then showed me the panflet with all of the things it covers I believe its 5,000 things.
just be carefull where you get your diesel. I mainly get mine from high volume suppliers so the chance of getting water in the tank is much lower than at the mom and pop place that gets a load of diesel every other week.
but the one thing that pisses me off the most is when I'm getting fuel some idiot will pull to one of the 4 pumps that has diesel but fill up on 5 gal of 87 and go in and jack their jaw for the next 10 min, when there are 20 other pumps. then they complain about the slick spot from the spilled diesel[:@] the trucker high pressure hoses are in the back and I would go to them, but I stay away since they arent earning money unless those wheels are turning. me being in the way is only an inconvenience to them.
not long after I had my truck I actualy had someone tell me my truck needed servicing cause it was making too much noise
then a buddie, that has no mechanical skills AT ALL told me my altenator was going out, he knew that high pitched noise real well he said. . .then I told him there is a turbo under the hood.[8D]

did dodge ever put a water seperator on the newer cummins?
Ive also been reading about some of this mystery fluid you all have been putting in that will help gain som MPG? Does that stuff also help with the fuel gelling in the winter?

the fuel filter is also a fuel water seperator, always been that way. diesel engines and water just dont get along very well.
what alot of us are useing is a mix of 16 oz Power Service and 8oz Marvels Mystery Oil. I use the grey bottle for the PS, however the white bottle has anti-gelling addatives, as well as moisture control. the cetane value of the white bottle is not as high as the grey bottle, 4 points for the white and 6 for the grey. the higher the catane value the more power and the more efficiently the fuel will burn. I have averaged 2.5mpg better with the mix than not useing it, plus the engine runs MUCH smoother. others have reported back they have better mileage with the white bottle. then some actualy had a decrease in fuel mileage. if you do have any gains in mileage the mix usualy pays for itself and then some. then on top of it all Power Service and MMO both have added lubrication to keep the CP3 injector pump and your injectors happy. This mix is very helpfull with the older VP44 pumps of the late second gen trucks since the pump was cooled and lubricated by the fuel, the CP3 is cooled and lubricated by the engine oil.

Regarding Drew's special sauce, I don't see much gain in mpg from it in my '06. A little, but I don't think it quite offsets the cost. But, I do believe it makes the engine run a little smoother with it than without which is worth something, I think.
