Default Warranty

so has anyone figured out how to have a chip and make sure you can still get your truck warrantied??? one guy told me to take it out when i go to the dealer and start and warm my truck 3 times to clear the computer but i am worried this would make them curious to why it is cleared.. i just ordered a xzillaraider the race model but no monitor so i dont have the monitor computer issues.. anyways if anyone could help with this i would thank you much.. i have tried this once before but got not much response so i am trying this time in desperation...

When I put mine in the shop for the recall issue, I just removed the programmer. It would make sense to say that they would have to be looking for the presence of a programmer to find foot prints in the onbard comp. As long as the ECM is reading stock setting when they plug it in there shouldn't be a problem. Although, it stands to reason that if you bring the truck in for something blown or burnt, they might get to wondering why...... that's just my thoughts, as I am not a diesel tech. I do know a little about electronics.

I do have an older truck of course. I only get 3rd generation emails. Weird huh?! Anyways last Tuesday I took my truck to dealer to get lift pump replaced. They said they have to order the part in. My warranty on engine expired Last Thursday (cutting it close). Still no lift pump as of today. They are installing a pusher pump and said they will keep the date open on my warranty from last week. Anyways when I called the dealer he said that my truck was still under warranty then I told him I chipped it. He said some dealers worry- he is not one of them. So I took it in the way it is. Just call some dealers- they won't know who you are when you actually talk to the mechanic. Lots of people think its cool working on trucks that have work done. But with my Edge it wouldn'e be a big deal cause its easy to remove.
