Default Hey, new 2006 CTD owner here.

Well I have been lurking here for a few weeks and I love this site. I had a 1998 Chevy silverado for the last 6 years and once I got to 185000 miles I decided I needed anew a truck. I pull a 5x10 cargo trailer everyday and was getting about 10mpg with the 5.7l so I figured I would try the diesel. This is my first NEW truck and I feel I couldnt have made a better choice. I really wanted the 4x4 and could have afforded it but I went there with a $500 a month limit and actually stuck to it. I can think of 1 time in the last 5 years I have needed it so I figured the extra $3000 wasnt worth the look.

I am the same way, other than sports car I am stuck on diesel forever now! As far as pics, I have had the truck 2 weeks monday and it HASNT rained for about 2 of those 14 days here in new orleans. I washed it and detailed it last saturday and almost took pics but didnt. I am doing a sound system intall today and will probably document that and will post it up here if its needed.
