Default Body Control Module?

I was having a voltage regulation problem this week in my 1997 Dodge Cummins 2500 PU. I replaced the alternator and the batteries. Still the problem persists. Also Tack and Speedometer not functioning as well as the tranny doesn't seem to be shifting as it should.

One hot shot mechanic told me that my problem lies in the Body Control Module. I purchased a new one from the dealer for 600 bucks. I installed it...but my problems persist.

Can anyone offer me any assistance?

PS I have not had the new module programmed...is this vital? Am i still barking up the right tree?

Thanks!

Marc

Default RE: Body Control Module?

Tach, Speedometer, and Shifting issues ususally point to a failing throttle position sensor...at least on the gassers. I know CTDs have a TPS as well, but I'll let the Diesel gurus help you out with this one
