2000 Won't Start Help
Thats what happened. When I ran the bowl dry- it got air in the lines so we took a wrench and cracked the injectors a little. Then we did a way way bad thing- ETHER!!! Yep but we did not let it crank over to do a hole heck of a lot of damage. We sprayed a little and she fired right up. But after we cracked the injectors fuel came out- had a hard time starting but was better than nothing. Never use ether- but I did. Sorry guys! Do not spray a lot if used and don't crank for more than 6-7 sec, can do a lot of damage, my buddy used it on his Ford and a few others- no problems but heard bad stories from others. Use only at your own risk. Could be your lift pump- my stock one is going out right now and have been waiting for new pusher pump for a week now![&o]
good to hear. .
BTW, DeAnne, Ive run a line haul freightliner w/ a detriot 60 on straight ether before. fuel pump was out and it was the only way it could be moved since it was an auto, no air lines to hook to another truck, no nothing, good thing they build up pressure pretty quick. it had to be moved and thats all I came up with, one guy holding the bottle at the intake and me driveing VERY carefully
