Another stupid question. Is there more than one type or version of the MMO? The bottle reads add to GAS and OIL. There isn't a special diesel version is there?

no special version of MMO for the diesel. you can use it for both gas and diesel engines. you can also replace like a quart of oil in your crank case and put a quart of MMO in there in place of the oil. my dad adds it to his crankcase religiously and has a couple of gas vehicles with over 200,000 miles on them and no problems.

I told my daughter about it and suggested substituting 1 quart for a quart of oil and her results were outstanding... went from 23~25 mpg to 29~31 mpg. she ran 1 quart for 3000 miles, then went back to 4 quarts oil (dino oil too)... her mileage on her last tank was 31.0, motor has 180+k miles on it.

Somebody should sticky this post or one of the hundreds of others like it. It's not a problem, but it does get asked a lot.

There's many variations of this on the different diesel forums. Myself I use Power Service Diesel Klean with TCW3 two stroke mixture oil (ashless).

George, the only reason I dont sticky this is that it can be found in the fuel mileage sticky post, and a simple search will bring up quite a few threads about this subject.
