OK, The craziest thing just happened.

My wife was out running some errands today and as usual and on her list of things to get from Wally's was Marvel Mystery Oil. While she was out she called to check if I needed anything else and in passing mentioned she got carded for the MMO.

What?

She said she got carded and didn’t think to ask why at the time so I called up Wally Mart and the young lady said that they now have to card everyone for fuel additives because they contain some chemicals now being used to manufacture crystal methamphetamine.

What!?

I must be really out of touch. I guess gone are the days when kids sneak out to the garage with a cig. from the folks and make themselves sick. Now they're finding new (and quicker) ways to get the job done.

I guess I shouldn’t be as surprised as I was though because they’ve been risking life (and lung) cracking open anhydrous ammonia tanks for a number of years every spring here in the Midwest to get the ingredients.

WOW.

Blkram69 - I'd E-mail you but your address is hidden - so hopefully no one minds me asking in this forum what I've been dying to know...
I just moved from a life in the big cities, to the country, and I see all these farmers injecting anhydrous amonia into the water they irrigate (mostly) corn with. What does that do, anyway? Can I do the same to my lawn and/or plants around the yard?
And yes, what is the world coming to?
And - for anyone else reading this - has anyone had trouble with Chrysler disallowing any engine warranty if it was shown MMO was used?

Not kidding a bit. I noticed the register asked for ID once when I bought Power Service (she didn't check me), I asked why the pop-up for it, was given the same reason, Meth.

When I bought a gallon each of PSD and MMO plus a smaller bottle of PSD, Wallyworld didn't say squat to me. This is interesting....

It differs from state to state according to the state laws. Here in TN you can't buy alergy medicine without "the man" logging your DL number in some database. They say that it is to prevent meth. But you can go to Home Depot and buy 5 gallons of acetone with no problem.
