Default Cummins blowby

1998 Dodge Cummins blows oil (not fumes) out of vent pipe. Head completely reworked and same problem. Idle or wide open does same thing. Any help?

I had a 98 and had the same problem. I found out that there were some 98's that had the wrong oil dipstick installed and would allow you to over fill the crankcase by over a quart. There were even part numbers posted on some web sites and mine was of the wrong number. I started filling the crankcase with the correct volume and not what was shown on the dipstick and the majority of the oil blow by went away. Sorry, I have lost the web site info that discussed this problem.
Thanks
James

hmmm. . .that sounds like a good reason why your getting excessive blow by sicne the crank would have to be turning through the oil and churning it up.

I was gunna say it is normal, but I can see that as well.
