ATS intake mileage run...
Hey guys, just thought i'd let you know that i'm finally back to a point where I can compare the ats intake vs the stock intake. the edge is back in, stock air box is on and synthetic went back in today. I'd expect to get high 15's (15.7~15.9) to & from work with the stock intake so we'll see what happens with the ATS intake in there.
to compare against, with this setup & stock intake, cruising speed was around 67~69 mph... not thinking about it too much. now with the ats, I have to use the cruise more to stay in that range... it wants to settle on 72~73 mph. to make the comparison as even as possible, I'd be using cruise off & on with the stock intake in the past so i'll do the same now.
edit: oh yeah, forgot to mention (incase anyone missed this comment in the other thread), passing now with the edge on #1 (like before and the stock box in place with the ATS manifold is much easier... the tranny does not even think of downshifting like it did prior to the ATS install...

RE: ATS intake mileage run...
keep us up to speed. I'm also starting mileage testing with the TST on 1/1 and see what kind of increase I get.
last tank even though I realy didnt want to know the mileage and playing the the TST going all the way to 8/6 to smoke people out I still got 16.6mpg hand calculated with the clutch slipping the whole way

damn 16.6... must be nice! I think i'd be in the 18's if I didnt have the big tires on there. at some point in the future, i'm going to play with some under-body panels to see if I can reduce the drag on the hiway, the goal being to improve mileage further. It'll be a challenge for sure... but I luv challenges.
