Default First time out

Just returned from a 1500 mile trip towing a 14' enclosed trailer, empty going, loaded on return.
Learned that this baby likes the "DREW BREW"and it also likes to stay just under 2000 rpms for the best milage.
The overhead would read 13.1 when you take pen in hand.you get 14.2.
Had just over 11k miles on when the trip started, the drew brew seems to do away with alot of the noise.

Now when I say loaded, only talking about lamps and lampshades, loaded full with the bed of the truck full too
(cab high topper) when getting to a hill in eastern TN,mash the motor and gooooooooooo!

Default RE: First time out

sounds like you had a good time. and for 14.2 the engine will only get better for mileage.

I have 34K on mine, 6spd w/4.10's so at 70 I'm turning 2300rpm and I can still get over 18mpg. my last one was 16.6 but that was also playing around with my new toy and closeing intercestions with the black clouds of death comeing from the tail pipe
