WHEEEEEEEEEW, that was aggravatting!
Brother, I have no idea what these idiots did this time.
I have no visible leaks, no broke hoses, no loose connections, but coolant IS dissapearing.
I went into the dealership to speak (yes, semi-civilized) to the owner. He was not going to be in until this afternoon, so I left the Notice of Final Attempt to Repair with his secretary. Now, where the official one has to go to is DC, but I'm gonna try and work a keep it at the lowest level, no mud on you, make good with the customer, do the right thing kinda deal. Basically, I'm giving him two options...1 - You give me a new truck, right here, right now, or 2 - I go the offical route and make it very detailed that you have cost DC a TON of money because of YOUR service departments screw ups that are being charged as waranty work.
I have to go back in later this afternoon.
We'll see. At this point I really don't give a damn. I'm through raising my blood pressure with this dealership. If it's leaking coolant into the engine, so be it. I'll run that sucker till it blows. A good case of hydro lock going down the highway will sure as hell wreck enough things that they can't ignore it.
Oh hey, but the good thing......I actually made it a full 2 weeks since the last time it was jacked up.

Thanks guys!
Needless to say I'm a little disgusted by all this.
Spoke to the owner, he's a tool. Actually, I can't say that it would be an insult to things that are useful. He wanted me to let his guys look at it, AGAIN! Told him not a chance, they've seen it for the last time unless he has the keys to a brand new one for me. He didn't want to go for that, so he was shown the certified mail that was going to DC, BBB, OCA, and the CoC. Told him, I have nothing further to talk to him about and informed him that I would be detailing very explicitly to DC the events that lead to this point.
Soooo, now it's a waiting game for the "system" to work. This should be joy!
For anybody else that may go through this in the future, make sure that you keep every document for work, maintenance, repairs, etc. All the packages I sent out today were rather hefty.

I'm honestly not surprised to hear about the owner.
As far as doccumentation, I agree 100%. Make sure you list every conversation including dates, times, and the person you spoke with. I'm afraid it's going to be a rough ride brotha. Have yo thought about contacting one of those lemon law attorneys??
On a side note ...
You MAY want to include in your doccumentation how you've asked for advice HERE just to let not only the dealer know, but also the big wigs at Dodge know that your not the lost sheep in the woods, and that you DO have the calvery behind you. If everyone at Dodge knows that you've been relaying your experiences to fellow dodge owners on a regular basis they MAY want to step up to the plate and do the right thing in order to not only keep you, but to also keep ALL of us as loyal Dodge owners.
Just a thought ...

Well, here's an update and hopefully what I'm thinking right now is correct.
The coolant level hasn't dropped since Saturday (It's pretty sad when you get excited about a brand new, $40K truck not leaking a fluid)
. What I'm thinking is that when they refilled everything, they simply did not burp the system and the air just worked it's way to the resevoir. HOPEFULLY.
Anyways, the Final Notice was sent to DC via certified mail, so we'll see what happens.
I'm hoping they just failed to burp the air out, as this would make me fairly happy. I do really like this truck and do not want to get rid of it. It really is the best riding, handling, performing truck that I've ever owned.
We'll see.

That would be awesome if that was the case. You're probably right. I can't imagine having problems with not just one, but TWO of these engines !!
Good luck brotha .... wishing you the best !!
