Water spots on windshield?
I think it was actually bronze wool.....not steel sorry.

Whoa .... I would never do that. I don't care how fine the wool is that's definately going to scratch the glass.

Fine steel wool also works.

Actually fine steel wool won't scratch the glass. It's something that I use frequently to clean off bugs & dried tree sap. Just don't rub it on the window rubber or anything plastic because it will scratch that kind of stuff. About 20 years ago, my first job was at a Mercedes-Benz dealership in the detail dept. That's where I learned about it. I've been doing it ever since.

If you want crystal clear, streak free, no hassle, clean windows, use that combo !!
Sadly i get this alot, being in cali the heat doesn't do much justice to the water on the windsheild but i've found if u clean off the windows with alcohol and then use Rain X once or twice on the glass, u'll have a shine that makes u think sometimes theglass isn't eventhere. Fooled myself once or twice [sm=groupwave.gif]
