06 Drive shaft grease fitting?
Good thing that you mentioned that,, because I had to take the service writer outside, pop the hood, and point to the freakin sticker so that he knew what I was talking about. Do these guys know anything about the vehicles that they sale? I mean, what if there werent sites like this to keep us informed,, and for that matter, think of the people that own ctd's and dont use these sites and have no idea.
My dealership had a big meet and greet session to tell new buyers about their service department. I went away thinking how nice it would be to pay a little more but to have someone else do my oil changes, etc. Well, I saw the old maintenance schedule and figured I would do the 3750-mile stuff myself. So, I called the dealer to help me find the lube fitting. They said it was sealed. I said, “What about the owner’s manual, maintenance schedule, and the sticker under the hood?†They said, “Nope, it is sealed. No lube necessary.†So, I jumped on line, found the fitting, took a picture of it, showed the picture to the dealer, and told the dealer that they have made it worth my time to do the maintenance correctly myself.
By the way, they still contend that it is sealed and does not need lubing.

Is there some way to contact the manufacturer themselves and ask about it. If it does indeed need to be lubricated on a shcedule, I'm sure they would love to know how the dealerships are contradicting them. Or maybe it is all just a big foul up. Either way, this seems to be a problem that is plaugeing us. (Or maybe its a big plot to get everyone to use the service depts more,,,,,, or maybe not.)

The best and easiest adapter to use is a needle adapter bought from pepboys. It's literally a hypodermic needle using a zerk fitting that your grease gun fits onto. The needle slips into that hole on the cardan joint about 1/4" and it's good-to-go. Works like a champ and no funky wiggling or modifying of adapters needed.
Thanks guys, I have looked at the Dodge forums for years and never really needed to ask a question. This time I signed up and you really helped out. I looked for the grease fitting today and decided it was sealed; it looks like it! After reading all the replies, I will put the truck back on the lift tomorrow and look again. I'll hope I can find that &*@* fitting and get some grease in it
DSL, Its there, trust me.I recommend marking the shaft with a paint marker once you find it. The second and I think third time I went to grease it, I had just as much trouble finding it as I did the First time. Good Luck!
