Default hissing noise

I have a 04.5 CTD. In the last few weeks i have noticed a hissing noise coming from my steering column. It happens only when i am turning the steering wheel and it seems more pronounced with the AC on. Anybody ever experienced this or know what it might be, 'cuz me and my boys are stumped.

if it's tied to your fan speed, you probably have a duct that is not seated right. go to the merry christmas thread @ the top of the forum & follow the link... on the left side of the page is a FSM that will help with riping the dash apart to get to the vents... you may not have to go too far so have a look.

is it only when the a/c is on or does it do it with the fan only too?
