I dont know how much of that I'd believe....because if he wanted to do all that....why would he use the lame ol pain meds for a broken finger? Especially since they just put out a report earlier that said he had an allergic reaction to the medication....

 

IDK either but he's had a ton of problems the last few years...

 

I really have mixed feelings about Owens.

First of all, let me be up front and tell you that I don't follow football much at all. I'm pretty much a take it or leave it kinda guy.

Anyway ...

When Owens was here in Philly, yeah, he ran his mouth, but he ALWAYS backed it up. Whatever he said he was going to do, he did. Like it or not, that IS why you hired the guy .... right?

Onto the Superbowl.

Owens was out with a broken ankle and was told not to play. He dismissed it. He was told that if he played, he had a very good chance of suffering from a career ending injury. He dismissed it. Not only did he dismiss it, but he came into the came and did as well as he could. It was our quarterback, McNabb who threw the game because he said he wasn't feeling well. He had the sniffles. Come on ..... this is the SUPERBOWL !!

Oh well, it's done and over and like I said, I really don't care. Bottom line, Owens runs his mouth, but he backs it up every time. Your paying the guy to catch a ball and run with it. Stop paying attention to his off field game, and throw him the damn ball. He WILL get you where you want to be. At least that's the way I remember him.

Agreed! Owens would be so stupid for trying to kill himself. What does he have to be depressed about? Really? If he plays like ****, he has a contract he gets paid. If he gets hurt, he has a contract and he gets paid. I don't want to hurt any feelings of anyone who has known someone that commited suicide but to me that is just taking the easy way out. I'm not a big TO fan anyway just because of how mouthy he his, all players have good days and bad days and it seems to me he never misses a chance to **** talk someone who is having a bad day.

 

Just wanted to update, I just saw TO's press conference. It sounds like we will never know what really happened. His publicist is quoted as saying that she believed he was depressed in a sworn police document. She now says that he has 25 million reasons to be alive. Terrell also claims it had something to do with a reaction he had to his pills and his supplements. He was quoted as saying last night that he intended to hurt himself, but today he said he had no intention of doing that. What a mess............

 

Throw him the rock and let him run it into the end zone.

That's what you pay him to do, now let him do it. All of this other stuff is just smoke and mirrors.

Seriously though mental illness is real and I too would not be one to belittle this copndition but theres a HUGE dif. between his deal and mental illness or even say being homless, an unwed mother, destitute,....this list is endless.
