Default Gas now, Diesel later? Conversion?

I just got on the site. I have a 2001 2500 with the Magnum in it. I wanted to see about throwing a the straight 6 in it.
Has anyone done this?
Which engine fits?
Is their a kit for it?
Where is a good place to get the Cummins?
A web site that explains this, Any information will help thanks.

if your looking at doing a re-power then yes it can be done. seeing you already have the 2500 frame and suspension then your ahread of the game.

ISB's can be found on ebay, or better yet if you can find a wrecked truck you can pull everything you need off of it to do your conversion.

the most popular conversions are Ford guys yanking out the old 7.3's and even the new 6.0h-noes and dropping in a cummins. there are many kits to put a Cummins under the hood of Fords and Chevy's, but one does not exist to put the 6.6 or the 6.0 under the hood of a dodge
