that's BS... only way there would be a warranty issue is if the brake caused a problem, even then they have to prove it. If you need the brake, check out the Pac Brake... looks like a simple bolt on setup IIRC.

these are easy to install, the only problem is routeing the air lines and mounting the air pump.

your dealership sounds like one of those that will void the entire warranty for a K&N filter replacement.

Yep Cummins will do it and they sell the kit for about $1100. I think if I read the cummins site right, you get a longer warranty on the JakeBrake from Cummins, I think it matches the engine warranty 100K. Check out their web site.

I think there is some confusion on the warranty issue again...
If the dealer installs the brake there is a 3/36 warranty on it... if you install it there is a 1 year warranty on it. ("IT" = the brake, not the whole pickup)

They are tricky to install - it will take most of an afternoon. Its not very difficult really - just time consuming.

If your interested I have one that was installed that I would sell for dealer net plus frieght... Installed on an '06 Ram display unit - then taken off when the pickup was sold to a customer who didn't want the brake.

And yes, the MOPAR brake can be installed on an auto trans.
