Default Drew's Brew ?

Hello all, I just bought a 06 slt ctd and love it. My question is about the PSD, There were 2 different kinds. I bought the 96 ounce in a white jug, there was also a grey jug. Did I buy the right one?. It also says it treats 300 gallons, How much of this do I mix with the MMO?. I average about 150 miles a day if that helps with anything.
Thanks,
Vince

this is a big topic and should be a FAQ

anyhoo, the white jug is fine, it has anti-gelling properties which is good for the winter months and only increases the cetane level 4 point. the grey jug, which is good for the summer months does not have anti-gelling but increases the cetane level 6 points.

16oz power service to 8 oz MMO to every tank. steve crunched the numbers and even at a .75mpg gain you still break even at the new higher price, most here average 1-3mpg gains over not useing it.

Just a FYI I bought it at wallmart....96 ounces of PSD for 11.47 a 32 ounce bottle of MMO for 3.32.
Should I use the white for winter and the grey for summer?. The grey jug has the ULSD label on it for the new diesel, is this still ok?. sorry for all the questions.

By the way, I traded my 06 f-250 powerstroke in on a 06 3500 dually duramax and just traded that in on my 06 slt ctd. The dodge is by far the nicest and suprising a better ride than the chevy.

so your just tradeing in one for the other to see if you like it eh? j/k

the price at wally world for me is around $15. if you got it for cheaper then feel better that it will cost you less to break even

anyway, yes, the white jug for the winter and the grey for the summer. here in GA it doesnt get cold enough, often enough for me to use the white bottle. but if I see something happen to drop in I'll toss a little in just in case.

pay no attention to the ULSD compliancy tag, you can run USLD and LSD in your truck without any issues.

FYI... I am still boycotting PSD but for those who won't, I saw the grey bottle at Tractor Supply CO. yesterday for $12 and change for the 96oz bottle.
