Default made the trip

Well, I put my wife on a plane headed out, and then I made the trip. Seven hours, and never shut it down. I had my truck LOOOOAAADED down,,, the bed was so full we could hardly shut the tail gate. Then My wifes 06 Honda Accord on a trailer, and it was loaded down from truck to steering wheel. The beautiful part, I pulled all this without the programmer installed,,, and the truck never even broke a swet. I kept it at 70 to 80,,, there seemed to be a resonance at 80mph, at that speed it's liked it pulled easier, not so much lagging up hills, but I tried to keep it at 70, mainly b/c the MAN probably wouldn't like the fact that I'm goin 80, pulling that trailer, along with my 4 month old daughter in the front seat (by the way, she is a trooper, never cried once during the whole trip). And when I got there, the UPS man showed up just as I was unloading, wouldn't you know it,,,, my programmer was back from BD. I was so excited I installed it last nite. GOD BE WITH OUR SOLDIERS

70 to 80? my mileage falls flat on it's face after about 65. I would never think about runnin 80 just because of the increase in cost.

I don't have the exacts on the mielage. I usually get 18 to 19 hwy, so by counting the diference of what the comp was showing, I think I got like 15. All in all, even without the programmer, the truck pulled beautifuly.

amazing that these trucks run better when you have some weight behind them

Yeah, this machine is just sick, I reccomended this truck to everyone I know. Why would you want a sports car, what I have now would beat the pants off of these little things (while pulling a trailer).

Glad to hear the trip went ok, it's always nice to have an un-eventful trip. I personally have had way to many "eventful ones"

ummm, it'll be interesting to see what happens when I move my daughter to WA next month. I dont think she has enough stuff to really make a difference, we are renting a small uhaul for her bigger things but that can weigh more than 2500~3000 loaded i'd think... should be fun... considering taking louie with me...

what was your average speed? when I do 68, it = 17.3~17.5 mpg for my truck [sm=icon_rock.gif]

it is nice to know I can get that when I need it...

I averaged 75 on this trip, but the truck WANTED to do 80 and above. I wasn't worried about the mpg's, I just didn't feel like going to jail. but the truck did great both in traffic and on hills on the highway, and all without the programmer.
