RE: Automatic Headlights?
OMG!
That is friggin funny!
You know someone should add that fact to the top of the page or at least warn us when we first join the forum. You are not the first to experience that the hard way (it happened to me too) but every time someone says that I think about the first (couple) times I did it and I wind up blowing something (usually beer) out my nose.
That is a laugh riot!
I laugh every time I think about it. Hope you got leather seats!
I found out last night that if you put it in reverse with the door open the horn honks. Scared the s#it out of me ...

RE: Automatic Headlights?
I can confirm the DRLs for US trucks. I brought my 06 2500 to have the dealer turn the Power Delay feature (where you have power to the radio and accessories after the ignition is turned off, until a door is open or a timer expires) and found they also turned the DRLs on. It confused the hell out of me at first because there is not associated dash light in the US version that tells you DRLs are on. I could tell because the DRLs are at about half the brightness of your low beams.
Another funny item is when you use a turn signal, the DRL beam goes off on which ever side the turn signal is on. He he. I do like that the DRLs turn on only in R or D21 (for us Automatic Wimps).
