New to Forum....Price Question
Mine listed at a little over $41,000 on the sticker, I got it for $34,500 @ 2.9% from chrysler. I probably could of saved like 1g, b/c the warranty that was "thrown in" wasn't. [:@] make sure to read EVERYTHING on the paperwork. but, I still got a good deal, and I absolutely love the truck.
Right now you should be able to get an '06 down near or below invoice. Remember, the dealer gets "rebates" or incentives all the time based largely upon volume - so after the sale the net result is they've paid less than invoice quite often. And since once they realize you aren't one of the suckers who's going to help the salesman finance his next Viper by paying their sticker on top of MSRP, they are just going to try to check off one more "Sold" count so they get their volume higher - and the salesman will get the minimum spiff and the dealer will get a little to keep the lights on, and you should get a good deal. There's a website where you can find out most of the incentives they see, and any rebates and financing you can get - does anyone have the link to that? You can use that info to check their honesty, and to time your negotiations to get the max deal for you.
Bought my 06 in Jan,listed for $40,320--paid $31,500. Try to buy at the end of the month, thats when you can deal.
I had a real weak salesman, idot could not see the want-too's in my eyes.

Sabeorcer,
I have found out that the very last day of the month is the best & only time to buy. On that day they already have made the monthly quota, any thing they sell that day is extra $$. I have gotten some very good deals on the last day of the month that i could not get out of them 10 days earlier. Also most of the top pushy saleman take that day off as they have there quota sold and have no need to show up.
Good luck
Thanks for all the responses.
So I have looked at all the dealerships around and the best price I can get is right at invoice. Much better than I initially anticipated; however, nowhere near the prices people are telling me here. Should I hold out and see if I can do any better or should I just go with it?
Thanks again for the help.

Well ... based on what some of the guy's are saying and suggesting, you aren't going to really get a good price right now since it's the 9th. I'd at least wait till around the 28th and see what kinda deal you can get.
My $0.02...
There will ALWAYS be a cheaper truck out there in the future, always a better deal if you wait longer. If you find exactly the truck you want, and you can buy it at Dealer Invoice, do it and don't sweat the additional few bucks you "might have saved" if you didn't. Guarantee when you buy it you'll talk to someone who go the same thing cheaper a couple months later - but that's just how it goes. Find the one you want, beat them down to invoice, and everybody can go home happy. Long-term happiness with your rig depends WAY more on getting the right one than saving a few bucks. [sm=gears.gif]
