NICE truck !!!

Every time I see those cab lights I think more and more about putting them on.

Don't you find those headlight covers too dark?

You know, Its not a "real" truck without cab lights. [sm=icon_stickpoke.gif]

I love the cab lights!

I'm still kicking myself for not getting them on this truck.

But, they legally are not required until the truck is over 80" wide.

Just FYI.

I always took the covers off at night. But with four 130 watt KC's and two 55 watt Maxtel's, it was more as a courtesy.....

As far as the front hitch goes, I'm probably gonna go with this one:

I like it because you don't have to drill the frame or cut / remove the front air dam. It just bolts right to your existing tow hooks.

Go get the cab clearance lights. They are like $80 installed. I had them put on my last two trucks. This one had them on already, guess someone at my dealer thinks like me, gotta have em.

BTW, there is a high idle we all have that is temp related. The one you want "enabled" is optional and has to be "enabled" with the DRB tool or the STAR SCAN tool for newer trucks. I had mine done while in for some other pay work. Asked the tech if he would hook up the Star Scan and he did, the enable feature is where the other features like day time running lights and such are.

You're exactly right, I got curious about it and went and read the Federal regulations about the lights.

Interesting to note, we call them all clearance light, but it appears the outer two are the clearance lights. They define the overall witch of the vehicle. The inner three are identification lights and define the overall height.

Geez, I think I'm becoming obsessed..........[sm=noooo.gif]

Hi all,

I went to the dealer yesterday to have my high idle enabled because it takes FOREVER to warm up. The dealer wants $76 to make the change! Is there any fast-talking I can do to get them to make it 'complimentary'?

It's an '04 and is directly referenced by the TSB.

Thanks!

Did you buy it from this dealer you took it to? if so try writing to the owner and if you got it some place else then try a different dealer!

My $0.02
