Default heavy towing

I think i read a thread about this a while back, but i couldn't find it. Anyway i took a trip to the Badlands Offraod Park. I borrowed a 35' gooseneck trailer and took mine and a buddy's jeep. With all our gear, i was towing close to 12k. The weight was no problem, but i noticed under hard acceleration, there was a slight vibration in second and third. I am pretty sure it was from the tail end sagging and throwing the rear driveshaft angle off a little. BTW i have a 04 2500 4x4 6 speed. Is anyone else experiencing this? I do tow quite often, but not usually that much weight. Has anyone had u joint troubles from this?

Funny story to add. Another guy in my group had single jeep on a landscape trailer behind a powerstro-no. He talked a lot of smack about how fast he could run and how that truck was bad#ss, until the cell rings and he is telling me to wait up. "Something is wrong with this thing, i can't keep up" was the words i heard. i honestly think i could've out dragged him if we had lined up. I was so proud of my truck.

We used to have an 05 king ranch dually loaded and hauling a bumper pull trailer loaded with about 14,000 lbs of rock up an 8 % grade in the texas hill country for a mile and a half i beat an stock 05 dodge with a large boat but his was not broke in and i had different intake and exhaust. He wanted to know what i did to it because he couldn't keep up . I'm not bashing Dodge because i was only able to get 65,000 miles before i blew a head gasket POS. It was quick but also quick at going to get fixed had been in the shop so i got smart and got an 06 megacab 2500 diesel of course. The ford may get to the top quicker but the dodge will keep running down and up the next hill. Plus the KR would overheat real bad even with only my atv's on the trailer in 70 degree heat. So GO Dodge by by FORD (Found On Road Dead)

Mike, I have my TST cranked to 4/3 right now, and I'll notice my truck realy vibrating and just grunting when I shift to 4th or 5th and realy get into it. I think it is the clutch doing a little slip and grab action.
