I took my first trip in my ctd and was very impressed. mpg going was 24.1 mpg!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I got to jackson 250 miles and a quarter tank later i filled it up for $15 dollars !!!. Diesel was 2.29 at loves. On the return trip it went to ****!!!!!!!!! Half a TANK!!!!! 18.9 MPG
Same driving habbits 90-95 the whole way up and down hwy 55. the diesel i get at home is from a small mom and pop truck stop. for 2.43 a gallon. Any thoughts??????

damn, 24.1 mpg... in my dreams only. could it be you filled up with ULSD on the return trip? I suspect it may be dropping fuel economy. what about head winds? up hill on the return/down hill going there?

no winds. beautiful rolling mississippi hills the whole way. up and down backwards and forewards. no draft. flew past everyone. no load on back. will that new diesel mess up my motor? if the price shoots back up i will go back to farm diesel. that is what i did in my ford. a whole lot more smoke.

Might want to run a little mmo for the less lube. Running farm diesel in an on road truck is illegal though

As for fuel prices on Saturday two dropped to $2.39 and two went up $0.05 to $2.46.
