Default Best place to mount brake controller?

Looking to buy a draw-tight 5500 activator II for my ram. Where is the best place to mount this thing?

I don't know what that is you are talking about but I have my controller mounted next to the e-brake utilizing the screw that is already there for the dash, If it doesn't have to be level then you have plenty of options, mine has to be level so thats where it went. Not that I like fords that much but that tow command system is nice and works good.

Mine is the same place as Troop's. I was worried about kicking it, but I never have, and now I forget it's even there.

The truck I just bought had the controller already installed. I actually like where it is installed. If I need to adjust the brakes or manually press them, its within arms reach.

I made a bracket that slips on to my ash tray that my brake controller mounts to(no screws in the dash, helps on resale, easy to remove, just unhook wire loom and slide off,ash tray is still functional for TST or COMP access) above that is another bracket I made(slips behind the dash bezel and uses existing screws)that my sirrius and cell phone mount on to, the stuff they sell to mount these things are pretty much junk. I also built out of Aluminum a custom cupholder the hangs on the door just forward of the window switches, wish I was as good at computers as designing things outta metal so I could show you some pics.
