You know what, I may need the crayon. I just realized you have the 4040 and a magnaflow. That's interesting as I understood that Aero 4040 was a stand alone muffler. Am I wrong?

the aero is a stand alone muffler,, in Steves case (steve please excuse me for answering for u ) he already had the magnaflow (which is also stand alone) and then added the aero. The prime position to mount the aero, according to the manu., is to remove the stock muffler, and put straight pipe in its place, then remove the cat and mount the cat in its place.

Steve, being new here, I didnt know what you started with. Did you add aero 4040 then the ATS manifold or the other way around. I am thinking about starting with coldair then ATS? whats your opinion?
I started out with a completely stock truck... built it to what it is today and love it more each day. the way the mods went are:

Edge w/attitude,
AFE stage 2 with the proguard filter,
30" magnaflow muffler with a kitty donation... <jk>
ATS intake
TST products box (edge died)
suncoast valve body
aero muffler in front of the magnaflow.

I have lots of info on each setup.. if your looking for something in perticular let me know.

Thanks for the info. When I get back from fishing this weekend I'll post the set up I'm thinking about starting. It's very similar to yours steve. I'm looking for a middle of the road best of both worlds (low end and high end) increases.

yup, sounds like me... best of both worlds. I think I might be as close as I'm going to get... the last mod I think I'll be doing is gonna be a turbo... Drew recommended one that should fit nicely with what I want out of my truck. Asked Dieselnut what the damage was gonna be and its about what I was expecting so it's on the list of things to do...
