I have been using Drew's Brew since I bought my CTD. My question is, I fill up 3 or 4 times a week. Can I drop down to 12 ounces of mix instead of the 24? Just trying to save some cash on the PSD and MMO.

Drews brew of 16/8 was what worked for him and got his best MPG from the brew. Try out the lower amount and see how if you get a big drop in MPG. If I recall the extra MPG paid for the cost of the PS/MMO mix.

it is a total of 24 oz that is being put into the tank, 16oz PS and 8 MMO. you can customize the mix how ever you like, I just found that is where I made the best returns. plus it is easier to measure there too

 

VA Vince, are you filling up from empty or 1/2 tank? I top up 2-3 times a week as well and adjust the "Brew" accordingly. 24oz total brew with a full tank fill, 12oz of brew at half a tank.

 

When filling up its usually an 1/8 to a 1/4 tank. I will cut the mix in half and see if theres a difference. I am now getting almost 21 MPG, which smokes my old 3500 duramax dually. I will le you no if there is a difference.

 

Vince, Is that 21mpg hand calculated or are you using the trip computer? The computers are known to be inaccurate.
