Steve,

You've also got to remember, as you get older your hearing goes so you probably just can't hear those high pitches anymore.... [sm=icon_stickpoke.gif]

Steve If I can do it in 15 minutes, YOU should be able to do it in 5.

the question would be how much room do I need to move the intake tube... I would expect i'd have to take the boot off the tube side in addition to the turbo side, the only thing is will the tube move enough for me to get in there. It is bolted to the heat shield. I guess if nothing else, 3 bolts hold the top of the shield down, then the 1 bolt that holds the tube to the shield and then it'll be free.

actually on 2nd thought... I'm stuck at home between 4:30 & 7:30 (sharks play) so maybe I can yank off the filter, clean it and do the ring at the same time (during intermission).

two flat head screwdrivers and she's out in less than 10 seconds. . .the only problem is being able to find the bevel if it is where you cannot see it directly.

you'll like the difference, makes the ford boys look over their shoulder as I pass

I was lucky, the seperation in the snap ring was in the perfect spot to get to. Just make sure that you have a thin, thin flat head.
