Areo? Sorry Im a Noob

RE: Areo? Sorry Im a Noob
I read the web site and see they used trucks that had been chipped and or banks stuff on it. Why they don't show how well it does on a stock CTD is [sm=dontgetit.gif] I see Drew has not put his 2 cents in on this and would like to hear what he has to say.
Now if we were to listen to the Tornado people we would want all of that swrilling air to the turbo so as to mix with the fuel better and give us more mpg.
Heck why don't I just pop the turbo and send it out to have them sharpen the fins so that it cuts the air and not hack through it. Do't laugh I saw this done back in 1984 on Cummins big cam 3 400 and the owner said it worked.
I guess it is possable that the Tag III works but I don't have a spare $200 to find out. Oh Steve [sm=americanasmiley.gif]why don't you try this out for us. That way if it works we can try for a group discount!

But if you have to reinstall the silencer ring you will lose .0000000123456 MPG and 25 HP and that would be a to lose all of that power and mpg
all joking aside, my truck is running really REALLY good right now. I just began to notice that it never seems to downshift anymore on the freeway. this being after the aero install and the week it took to break it in.

someone ask for my $0.02
tornado =
where it is installed on these trucks by the time the air charge hits the intake valves the "circulation" that is created is gone.
now the TAG, I'm still working that bad boy over. . .I can see where it would help straighten the air going to the turbo so it works more efficiently, however, the turbo can only pull and compress so much.

what's your take on the TAG Drew? all the posts I've read are 50/50... some say its worthless, others say it makes a difference.

I cant see how the tornado installed after the inner cooler could have an effect... your forcing air into the cylinders so any swirling action is useless.
the TAG however seems like a good idea in theory, make the vacuum at the input side of the turbo uniform by straightening it out. $200 bux seems pricey to me for an experiment, if anyone sees one used and doesnt pick it up themselves let me know.
