What kind of truck stop/fuel station to look for when traveling, & need fuel ?
Must be a way to teach those gassers to: A, quick breathing the fumes. And B. The spiritual awakening that comes from running a CTD!!! hehehehehe
it would be kinda hard to do that since that is the mentality of most of the people around here. . .me first[:@]
FOR MY 2CTS WORTH.
Being in the Small service station business, we sold diesel and gasoline for 23 years, we started as a Mobil non contracted station, after buying our fuel at a premium price we shopped it and found we could buy diesel for 10-20 cents less per gallon by buying non branded fuel, so we bought non branded fuel and sold at the Mobile sign although it was could of been Mobile fuel, it pissed off the Mobil Rep and they pulled our Mobil sign and insignias down. And we went with Alliance fuel.
When we bought fuel from the supplier the price would vary, if the supplier was in a hurry he would buy at the higher price line, if he had time he would wait in the lower price line, and it all came out of the same spigot, we would ask the drive what kind of fuel are you dropping today, his answer would be from Shell, Texaco, Unico all premium fuels just sold at a different name.
We would check our fuel for water once a week, by dipping the tank stick with a blue paste on the end of the stick, if it turned red there was water at the bottom, the pick up for the pump is high enough so you would have to have 300 gallons before water would enter the dispensing pump. So freaking out is for the uninformed, condensation can happen right in your own truck tank. So fill up at your best price and drive away, I have been buying by price all my life and not by brand. Save yourself some money!

On my trip this summer I bought from all of these, Flying J,pilot,Holiday,Conco, Texaco and Phillips 66. The only place I had bad fuel from was Pilot in Sioux Falls SD. Yet I bought a tank full from them 10 days before and it was good so it goes to show you that you can get bad fuel at just about any place.
Good Luck and have Fun on your trip.
Cptdarel,
So, even though we may buy from a "branded" station like Shell or Texaco, there is no way to tell the REAL brand? Or did I not read this correctly.
Definately interesting.

When I was a kid and woked for Exxon & Mobil we had gas delivered from many diferent companys, Union 76, Cheveron, Texaco etc. Where I live now 90% all of our gas/fuel comes from a tank farm where all the stations get the same fuel. The only time it does not is if the farm is out of the a grade of fuel and then it comes from some place south of us.
FYI, I'm not sure where Shell/Conaco gets there gas from around here as they are the only name brand stations around.
Now I have heard that Cheveron does make there own fuel for there stations and that is the only fuel they sell.
YMMV

Parking Sensors gives safety to your vehicles and keeps your vehicle in excellent condition. This has been mainly designed for SUV's, trucks, vans. The poor rear visibility of many cars, SUVs and other large vehicles increases the risk of hitting obstacles like small object, or even people when driving in reverse. With backup sensors installed, drivers can lower the risk of collision when backing up or parallel parking. So Using could bring safety to your car.
