Well its official. Im buying it!!! I will be going back up saturday morning to look it over once more, and then i will be getting it. Any last things to look for? Any thing to feel for when i drive it. The final price will be 2150 including a 100 mile delivery. Im so pumped. What are some final things that i should look for? Also, what can i do for mods. I would really like to lift it a little, but not sure if you can because its a 2x4. How will this do towing my 86 k10, and a bobcat?

you will do just fine towing both those things... cummins are ment to get abused. my buddy had a 93' ram 250 with a cummins in it, crashed it right into a tree doing 35 mph, knocked the engine clean off the mounts and snapped the bell housing on the transmission... i dont know how but that engine still fired up and ran fine after the accident... insane stuff... your getting a good buy with that beast

it'll start fine....it'd be better if it was plugged in for a couple hours. also...i'd at some anti gel to the fuel. I turned the pump up on mine and ran a single 3.5 in straight pipe. and i can get a 4th gear scratch out of it..where are you located?? we might have a cab forsale.

I don't think I'd say that the rust spot on the roof was "common" at all. As a matter of fact, I don't think I've ever seen a Ram with a rust spot up there.

hmmmm ...

No biggies though. It sounds like you've got both the cajones and the time to fix it up so go for it. I agree with the previous poster about the trans though. That would probably be my biggest concern.

oh well ...

Enjoy the hell out of it Ryan!! I think you picked a GREAT first car / truck !!

OK, thanks. I want to lift it a little, even though it is a 2x4. Is there any coil springs, or spacers that i can get to work on it? Also, can i modify a body lift to make it fit for a diesel?

well, i finally drove my truck on an actual ride, and now i can say that i know what you guys are talking about when you talk about cummins power! The only mod is the pump turned up, How much TQ does this add? I pulled my 4 wheeling truck around, and i couldnt even tell it was on the back.

For my first mod, i am going to lift it a little. I plan on installing a ring-type coil spring spacer from JC Whitney. This is all i could find for the front. Is this the only option? Also, since it is a D250 would D350 coils up front make any difference? For the rear, i am going to use a 3" block, and i am going to modify my intercooler lines so i can run a 3" body lift. Who has put the body lift on their truck, and how hard was it? what shocks should i run? With this setup can i run 33" tires?
