Default lift pump

Do parts stores carry lift pumps, or is that a dealer item?? How expensive??

Ed as far as I know parts stores do not carry lift pumps. Mine recently went out and I went to the dealer to get a replacement but found out that they no longer even carry the stock lift pump. You have to buy a conversion part that goes in the tank along with the fuel pump. The part is around $400.00 and you have to drop the tank re-wire and replumb the darn thing. I found one of the older lift pumps on ebay new in the box and only payed $140.00 for it. Problem is that my truck was stolen prior to the part even arriving. So now I have a lift pump with no truck.
I had the 1998.5 24v and the the pump was good for all the 24v motors up to 2002.
Hope this helps.

go aftermarket and be done with it. I've been eyeing over a FASS for sometime now.
